Janis's song used to be my mantra. For years every time I talked to my mom I would sing it after the conversation to ease my mind. My mom died and I decided to change it to "I have a Dream" by Abba. Funny thing about parents, no matter what your relationship with them was like before when they are gone you really miss them. Parents have to love you and listen to you and always be there for you no matter what. I really try to do that for my kids. It's pretty important to know someone loves you unconditionally. Maybe that's why God made pets.
So now that I'm turning 62 I decided to have this new mantra and try to find true happiness. I'm sure it's out there. I know for sure you can only give it to your self. If you think someone else is going to make you find it you are in for a serious let down. You know that old saying "You have to love yourself first" well it's pretty true. Isn't it funny how you can know something in your head but can't feel it in your heart? I know there is a connection there but something must just get in there and block it at times. I've noticed the same thing happens with men sometimes only it's little head big head that gets out of whack. That Mars /Venus thing is so true. Have you read that book? If you are like me you have probably read every single one of those self help books. "O" followers. In search of the true meaning of happiness.
Decided to get on board the new tech age and try writing my feelings in this blog. It's a lot like having a diary but you don't have to hide the key from your Mom. Very therapeutic. A lot cheaper that a couch and it really doesn't matter if anyone sees it because it's all about just getting it out there and out of your head. I truly believe that if you get it out there that guy I asked about the Mercedes will take care of it. The first step is the hardest. I just took my first step toward a healthy and happy heart. Yea for me!!!!!!
